Ideal Breaks Ground on San Marcos Skate Park Phase 2

Skate Park Excavation Under WayWork has begun on the second phase of the San Marcos Public Skate Park. The first phase was constructed two years ago as a street course. The facility proved to be heavily used from the day it opened, so skateboarders had little difficulty convincing San Marcos city leaders that a second phase was warranted.

The second phase was designed by Ideal Skateparks based off of input provided by the Skatepark of San Marcos (SPoSM) steering committee. The popular street course needed a transition compliment, so SPoSM tasked Ideal Skateparks with designing a mini-bowl and a backyard kidney-pool replica. These two features will have a footprint of approximately 8,500 square feet and will be completed later this year.
